 Scythe is a literary journal, created by Joseph and Chenelle Milford, which originated in the spirit and mission of The Joe Milford Poetry Show. After chronicling, archiving, and interviewing poets on our show, generating a literary journal to showcase their work only seemed like a natural and logical next step. Thus, Scythe was born. After our first issue, we will be maintaining this journal as a tri-annual publication with an open submissions policy. In this way, we hope to expand and nurture the conversations between poets on our show and poets who submit to our journal in an ongoing dedication to recording and capturing the best poetry alive today. We hope that the show feeds our journal and that the journal feeds our show, constantly providing each with potential new poets, in sound and print, and potential new audiences. We hope that you enjoy our journal and thanks for your support.
